FAECAL WELL D-ONE
For direct detection and identification of Nosocomial infections, Sexually transmitted diseases, Mycobacteria
FAECAL WELL D-ONE is a system composed of a polypropylene plate containing 32 conical wells for better visualisation of colour reactions that occur as a result of the growth of microorganisms, in faecal samples responsible for gastrointestinal infections that often occur with a specific symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhoea and in some cases fever and vomiting

FAECAL WELL D-ONE allows both presumptive identification of gastrointestinal pathogens such as:
-
Escherichia coli O157, Salmonella spp, Pseudomonas spp., Shigella spp.,
-
Yersinia enterocolitica, Vibrio spp., Proteus/Providencia app.,
-
KES group, Enterobacter sakazakii, ESBL, KPC, Campylobacter spp.,

found in faecal samples that susceptibility to antibiotics according to appropriate diagnostic criteria.

The tested sample is diluted in accordance with the procedure and inoculated directly into the wells of the plate. Incubation is performed for 18-24-48 hours and readings are taken visually without additional equipment.

The results are evidenced by colour changes that occur in wells according to reactions due to chemical or chromogenic components contained in specific formulations for each microorganism.
